降钙素原(PCT)是降钙素激素的前体肽，由甲状腺滤泡旁细胞合成并参与钙稳态。降钙素的主要功能是减少破骨细胞对钙的吸收，从而增加循环中的钙水平。PCT的半衰期为25-30小时。血清PCT浓度在感染性刺激、真菌感染、创伤和手术后显著升高
